Welcome to the World, Kayson!

I had the pleasure of snuggling this sweet guy during his Newborn session a couple weeks ago. He gave us just a couple minutes to snap some basket photos and then he was bright-eyed or demanding to sleep on his Mama, who can blame him?! We went with it and got some sweet images. At the end of the day, babies set the tone of the session and I’m so glad we were able to roll with it and document just how beautiful those fresh newborn days and weeks are. It’s such a special time!

I know his Parents will cherish these for years to come! I loved working with you guys and snuggling that sweet little man. Welcome to this big, beautiful World Kayson!

That little fuzzy swirl of newborn hair always melts me.

Goodwin Family

Hi Friends!

It has been a long time! I’m finally getting motivated to overhaul my website and blog but before I start that process *aiyiyi, technology* I wanted to put up my most recent sessions. I have known Tyson and Dani for many years and love photographing their family every year and watching their little ones grow.

This year was a big one! A new house and their youngest is about to turn two, where did the time go? We had so much fun catching up and snapping pics outside in the Winter sun *we got so lucky with the weather!* and inside capturing both kiddos big personalities in that ‘chair series.’

Thanks friends! I think we definitely outdid ourselves with this one ;) Until next year!

Halsten rocks TWO!

Hi Friends!

I have been doing pics for our friends, Tyson and Dani for years– from being at their wedding to celebrate their “big day” to couple pics for the holidays when their ‘baby’ was their black pug, Domino. On to maternity pics, a newborn session with their sweet Son, Halsten and last year’s super fun cake smash. It is such a joy for me to see this family grow and change.

I love catching up with them every year in our usual spot, their adorable backyard for a lifestyle session to capture Halsten’s birthday and bottle up some of that final Summer sun (we had to wait for it this year!) The beauty of using the same location is seeing how much Halsten has grown and I love that we do several of the same poses every year because they’ll be so fun to line up as their family changes and kiddos grow.

Happy 2nd Birthday little man– you are too cute for words  and literally such a heartbreaker- it was way too fun to edit these and see his smiles! Enjoy these :)

Summer Sun: Madalyn & Henry

Hi Friends!

I’ve been so behind with this blog– it has graciously taken a backseat to our Summer plans and growing a baby that is due any day. Part of my nesting included getting caught up so here goes!

I did this fun little session for a good friend who just wanted some fun, simple photos of her kiddos for an outdoor patio space. The white washed barn at Kelsey Creek reminded me SO MUCH of this family and her style I couldn’t resist but hike them up there to try out the benches and sniff some sunflowers. Such a quick and easy little session with super photogenic kiddos. I love how these turned out!

Welcome Sweet Boy!

Hi Friends!

On Valentine’s Day I had the incredible privilege of photographing my Nephew’s delivery and first days…. including his big Sisters meeting him in the hospital (they were thrilled to meet him), his first photo shoot and both of his Sisters Birthday photos.

I have flown to Florida for every one of my Best Friend’s kiddos arrivals- there is just something too special about those first days to not be present. She was with me during the days before Isla’s arrival and her first days at home and I will never forget those memories and just how grateful I was to have her. Our friendship has spanned 16 years and 3,316 miles….all of our experiences always come full circle with the other in the fold of our moments. Our friendship is one of the most beautiful relationships I have in my life. Without dropping all of the sap in this post (I still need to post about this trip on my personal blog and that post is going to be a ‘clear out the kleenex’ box kind of post) I wanted her and everyone to know how fortunate I felt to be at baby Ross James’ delivery- it was one of the most beautiful moments of my life. There is just something about seeing a babies first moments and these two wonderful people welcome a Son after two beautiful little girls. This trip was the end of some things but the bright, bright beginning of others- including joint family vacas (which are already in the works!)

Enjoy these beautiful shots of sweet baby boy- he’s just the most perfect little Romeo! We adore you RJ– I know your family is complete because of you. xoxo.

I like to think of this next set as his ‘old man sleeping’ photos–I LOVE how these turned out!

Congratulations Fischers- He couldn’t be more perfect!

Birthday Girls!

Hi Friends!

I had the super-fun opportunity to photograph my best friends kiddos, Grace and Olivia for their birthday pictures when I was in Miami to meet their new baby brother. These two are quite the little pair- their personalities are very different but their sisterhood is blossoming and I loved seeing it in action.

Olivia is a little character — she just turned two and is obsessed with Disney princesses and snacks. The kid never stops eating :) She is pretty much a constant crack-up. I love ‘the twos’ when sometimes it looks like their little body is moving separate of their legs- they’re just little cartoon characters making you laugh constantly.

Grace just turned four – I still can’t believe she’s FOUR!- and she’s all big personality. She loves horses, cowgirl boots, art..and the list goes on. She is quite the little character and is full of many entertaining stories – her imagination is big and always evolving.

I love, love, love these little ladies–we had such fun celebrating them!

We decided it would be super fun to do a little glitter photo shoot for their birthdays after portraits- the girls loved getting sparkly and I loved editing these :)

Mikolasy Holiday-Mini Session

Hi Friends!

I am still swooning over these warm & cozy pics of our friends, the Mikolasy’s at their holiday family mini-session. Woodinville Whiskey was kind enough to let us in before they opened on Veteran’s Day and the building was perfectly-perfect for Winter pics. The lighting was so warm and bright–I had heart eyes the entire time I was editing these. I love taking pics of families I’ve watched grow and photographing kiddos I’ve known since they were born.  These boys are just TOO CUTE! Those shots with Grayson (the little guy) looking up at his big Brother, Harper just melt me! Siblings are the coolest. Those outdoor shots were an after-thought and I’m SO GLAD we got them. The ones on the train tracks turned out just as we chatted about–even with a coyote scampering from the blackberry bushes before the boys walked the train tracks. WHOA! I have such love for this session and this sweet family. Enjoy these- xoxo!

Beau turns ONE!

Hi Friends!

This one-year old cake smash session is especially close to my heart because it’s for the Son of one of my dearest friends (who is very much my ‘Mom Lifeline’). I have known this little man since he was 1 day old and I can’t believe how much he’s grown. This session was completely “him” with his coy little glances and sweet smirky-smile. He was a very serious ‘cake smasher’- just slightly poking it, then patting it a bit, then picking the whole thing up to give it a taste. He was dedicated to the job and a pretty laid back guy, which is exactly who he is.

Sweet Beau–we love watching you grow up. You are such a bright light- with the sweetest of hearts (literally, this boy would make you melt!) Happy very-FIRST Birthday to you.  xoxo.

Keadle Family

Hi Friends-

This session’s story actually started almost two years ago when I did a gift card for a client to give to his Wife for Christmas. It took us a bit to set up a session and get our schedules to work together but it was SO worth it.

I met the Keadle Family at the Arboretum on a very sunny Saturday. The light was bright, warm and pretty darn perfect. The kiddos were really good ‘sports’ about the whole thing–an hour of pics can be hard for littles, I know after having a little one! I was very impressed with their big smiles and some of my favorite images from this session were quick grabs of sweet little moments. Many times kids’ personalities shine brightest in those images. So many fun ones here- I hope you enjoy these as much as I did in working with this beautiful family and editing their session. Thank you Chris, Sam, Dylan and Evie. :)

Cake Smash: Halsten Turns One

Hi Friends!

Years ago I was lucky enough to coordinate the wedding of our friends, Tyson and Dani and over the years I’ve been blessed to capture several sessions for them from holiday to maternity photos. This year I got to catch up with them and watch their little man, Halsten smash cake for his one year old birthday.

They are a really easy going family so they opted for a morning backyard session. We did a couple pics of them together, snuck in a ‘couples shot’ (necessary!), lots of fun shots of little man (I especially love that vintage rocker and wagon) and then stood back as Halsten smashed cake (and Domino – the pug- helped :) He was a pro- starting off slow and curious and ending with frosting all over his head. It was perfect.

Halsten has such a big personality stuffed in a tiny little body and his smiles made me laugh during many late nights of editing. I love watching your little sweetie grow-up dear friends– thank you so much for choosing me to capture your milestones :)

Hasten just learned to clap and was quite proud of himself :)
